Hey everybody,
This semester I’ve decided to change the subject of my blog because I wanted tell you about a country I love Indonesia. I’ve been living in this country for four years and it has been the most incredible years of my life! I moved in with my whole family because my father has been transferred for his job in Jakarta. Living abroad is a great adventure but living in Indonesia is one of the most wonderful experiences for one’s life.
This is only an introductory post. You will have to wait a bit longer if you want to know everything about Indonesia. But for now, I let you take a look at the few pictures I have posted!
The way this child stands is the “traditional posture” in Indonesia. In the street, everybody “sit” like this, even if there is a bench on which they could sit “properly”.
Hopefully these pictures have made you want to come and visit my blog again.
Take care,
Claire.
This is a really lovely introductory post. I had no idea you’d lived in Indonesia! About the traditional pose, have you ever tried to do it? A Chinese friend of mine could sit like that for hours. But I can’t do it: I just fall over backwards…!
Yes I already tried! But I cannot last forever holding this pose… i can stay like this only for a few minutes! Anyway, I always thought that it was funny to see people “sitting” this way!!!!
I used to sit like that when I was younger. Now it’s more difficult to do it, I guess I’m more French now :p
That is just a question of practice!!!! And maybe it’s also a question of dignity! French people would probably think you are crazy if you sit like that in public…!
(p.s. you don’t really need the ‘s in “Indianesia’s Blog” because the blog doesn’t belong to Indianesia, it’s *about* Indianesia.)
Thanks for the tip!
i can’t wait to learn more informations about Indonesia! you will tell us about your experience or about this country in general?
I guess I will see!!!! It will depend on the mood I am! If you want to know something in particular about Indonesia, just let me know!
Thank you Soizic! I will try to talk both about my own experience in living in Indonesia and about the country in a more general way! Next post this week-end!
The swimming pool on Flores Island, it’s yours, right ?! :p
Of course baby! Did I forget to mention that Flores Island is the island I acquire recently???? 🙂
Really nice post ! Pictures are really beautiful !
About the pose i think there is the same in Korea ! It’s really difficult to do it more than 5 minutes ! 🙂
I think it is a question of practice!!! Hold the pose a few minutes every day and you will soon become as good as all korean and indonesian people…!
It’s strange i have posted one comment on this post but i don’t see it (It’s morning so maybe i’m not awake so excuse me if there are 2 similar post XD)
Really nice nice pictures ! This is yours ?
About traditional posture, Korean use it too. I have tried that but it’s really difficult to stay like that more than 5 minutes ! I need training ^^
Yes, it is! That’s a few sample of the thousands of pictures I’ve taken while I live in Indonesia! I will try to put as many pictures as I can in my posts!
Those pictures make me dream… This country seems marvellous and I know nothing about it… Truly…
It’s nice to see bright flowers and sunny landscapes when it’s so gloomy outside 😀
Wonderful pictures! They make me wanna go there! My dad used to live in Indonesia after he left Vietnam
wow I didn’t realise they were your pictures Claire, they’re really high quality! I thought they must be pictures taken from a tourist website or something! I guess photography is a passion of yours?
That’s nice!!! I love to take pictures! My mum learns me everything because that’s one of her passions too! Picture is one of the best ways to keep memories alive!
yeah I do like photography too but I don’t think I have any “vision”, and I’m not in the habit of taking my camera with me when I go places..
(p.s. my mum teaches* me)
